ABOUT US
Globally, women entrepreneurs face a $1.7 TRILLION financing gap according to the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative.
Less than 5% of development funding (grants) goes directly to women.
Investments in social enterprises are siloed (donors either give grants OR impact investments). Rarely both types of funding are available, and almost never at the same time, especially for women.
One dimensional funding options (debt/equity) leave little room to test new models or take risks. This is especially challenging for agribusiness and food companies needing to adapt quickly.
We believe every investment has the power to do more.
Raiise Capital is a new giving model providing immediate wins to women-owned, agri and food enterprises through halved investments in philanthropy, combined with traditional impact investment.
With two, simultaneous investment paths business owners can act immediately with grant capital, and utilize debt within 6-12 months when ready to adjust their balance sheet.
Raiise Capital avoids the investor dilemma currently pervasive in philanthropy: whether to give charitable donations OR invest for longer-term sustainable impact.
Raiise does both with the same commitment.
How it Works:
For every dollar committed, we deploy half immediately as a grant to pre-vetted social enterprises, and half within 6-12 months later as an investment (structure dependent on needs of enterprise).
After 12-36 months, the funder gets their investment back.
Our investments are not just philanthropy or impact investments.
They are both. At the same time. There is no either or.
